I'm Janelle, owner and operator of Best Bushel Ltd., better known as #talkbushelstome. Passion, sarcasm, and a refusal to settle for "good enough" are what my business is built on. I don't want to be just another market advisor. I want to be the name your whole family knows around the supper table, and the person you trust when farm life gets messy.

My years in ag taught me one thing above all: good relationships are everything. I'd love to work with every farmer on the Prairies, but I can't do that and still deliver the level of service I'd demand myself. So I built a team.

My partners are an extension of how I see farming and the markets. There's no one right way to farm, and not every operation will click with my style. Partnering with other advisors means more farms get the attention they deserve, from someone who fits how they operate.

Your advisor is your direct point of contact. They know your farm, your numbers, and your goals, and they're who you call to put a plan into action. Behind the scenes, I build the marketing strategies and write every market update you receive.

So while I may not be the one answering your phone, you're still getting the sassy coffee row gal in every single update.

Hi! I'm Shaylin, but most people call me Shay.

I've been lucky enough to build my career around something I love: agriculture. After finishing my Ag Business degree, I started as a summer student and eventually moved into grain buying. That's where I found my favourite part of the job: getting to know farms, celebrating their successes, learning from their struggles, and coaching them to find ways to get the most value out of their grain.

For the past 9 years, I've worked as a Grain Marketing Advisor, helping farmers make sense of the markets and build plans that fit their farm and their goals.

Agriculture isn't just my job, it's home too. I know firsthand the ups and downs of farming from both sides of the desk. I love being part of the ag community, building relationships, and helping farmers make the most of the crops they work so hard to grow.

As part of the Best Bushel team, I'm your go-to for everything. I'll get to know your operation, answer your calls, and help you put Janelle's strategies to work on your farm.
